The debut EP from NYC trio True East, a collaboration between trombonist Dan Lehner (Avenida B, High and Mighty Brass Band, Karikatura), bassist Ran Livneh (Anbessa Orchestra, Friend Roulette) and drummer Zack O’ Farrill (Adam O’Farrill’s Stranger Days, Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, Kaz George). A synthesis of post-bop jazz, Afro-Latino rhythms and indie rock sensibilities, True East is an expression of the idiosyncratic New York musical landscape, making music that is compact in execution and expansive in concept.
